Learning outcomes
1.1 Know the basic methods of collecting and analyzing sociological data when conducting research with a quality type of design. 1.2 Know the process of planning sociological research with a quality type of design. 1.3 Know the professional and ethical standards in conducting sociological research with a quality type of design. 2.1 Choose the best methods of collecting and analyzing sociological data when conducting research with a quality type of design in accordance with the objectives and object of study. 2.2 Collect, process, analyze and meaningfully interpret sociological data when conducting research with a quality type of design, adhering to professional and ethical standards.

1. Know the basic principles of sociological research. 2. Be able to prepare a program of sociological research. 3. Have the skills to work with English-language scientific literature.
Course content
I. Theoretical and methodological foundations of qualitative methods of sociological research. 1. Introduction. Theoretical and methodological principles of sociological research with a qualitative type of design. 2. Modern methods of collecting and analyzing qualitative data. 3. Ethics of sociological research with a qualitative type of design. ІІ. Collection, processing and analysis of data in sociological research with a qualitative type of design. 4. Planning the collection and analysis of qualitative data and the choice of methods in accordance with the purpose and object of research. 5. Sampling and collection of qualitative data. 6. Processing and analysis of qualitative data and report preparation.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. CW 1 (written practical tasks) with topics 1-3, LR 1.1, LR 1.2, LR 1.3 = 40 points / 24 points. 2. CW 2 (individual research project with qualitative design and presentation of analysis results) on topics 4-6, LR 2.1, LR 2.2 = 60 points / 36 points. final assessment: credit.
