Learning outcomes
1.1. Know the basic methods of sociological research. 2.1. Be able to apply the methods of sociological research when addressing social problems, and master the methods and techniques of sociological research. 3.1. Organisation of the working research and analytical team. 4.1. Presentation of practice results and research results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the theory of social technologies. 2. Be able to apply methods of social technologies. 3. Have basic skills in social psychology, social management and social communications, methodology of empirical sociological research, methods of collecting and analysing sociological data.
Course content
- becoming acquainted with the methodology and results of UNIDOS research, the structure and main activities of the institution-base of practice, methodology and results of research; - ability to test UNIDOS questionnaires, form a report on the test results, make a workplan and program of sociological / social research, develop research tools and conduct the fieldwork, encode questionnaires to input, input data into datasets, submit the datasets, work in a research team; - acquisition of skills in preparing printed questionnaires for the fieldwork, conducting PAPI, organising and conducting empirical sociological / social research or its separate stage, applying methods of collecting quantitative and qualitative social information, its processing and analysis, presenting research results to authorities, civil society, and mass audience.

Assessment methods and criteria
I) attending the scheduled meetings with the supervisor and the Customer; constant reporting on work: minimum – 6 points, maximum – 10 points (evaluation by the department supervisor); ІІ) efficiency of work on the practice base: minimum – 24 points, maximum – 40 points (evaluation by the practice supervisor); III) the quality of the written report on the practice: minimum – 12 points, maximum – 20 points (evaluation by the department supervisor); IV) defense of the report at the department, and evaluation of results: minimum – 18 points, maximum – 30 points (evaluation by the department workers).
