Learning outcomes
1.1. Know the general theoretical foundations and methodological approaches of sociology of economics, labor and employment, the content of basic concepts, theoretical positions and key concepts used by sociological science.
2.1. Highlight the main problems and trends in economic development, labor and employment.
3.1. Carry out analytical, research and exploration activities.
3.2. Present research work on the case.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the theoretical foundations of general sociology, methods of collecting and analyzing sociological data.
2. Be able to work with sociological data, and use empirical methods of sociological analysis.
3. Have the skills to apply a sociological approach to the analysis of social mechanisms of the economy, labor and employment in modern society.
Course content
1. Conceptual foundations of sociology of economics.
Topic 1. Sociology of economics, its subject and patterns.
2. Sociology of labor and labor relations.
Topic 2. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of labor relations.
3. Sociology of employment.
Topic 3. Labor market and unemployment in Ukraine: sociological dimension.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
1. active work at seminars: - 20 points;
2. development of the program of sociological research: - 10 points;
3. performance and presentation of the results of the research task: - 10 points (maximum 20, minimum - 12) for the presentation of achievements) - (maximum 20, minimum - 10).
4. performance of control works: 20 points (2 works on 10 maximum or 6 minimum points).
- final assessment: written exam (assessed LR 1.1, LR 2.1., LR 2.1, LR 3.1.) - maximum 40 points. The minimum score for passing the exam is 24 points).
- conditions of admission to the exam: a student is not allowed to take the exam if he scored at least 36 points during the semester; such a student is admitted to the exam provided that he / she completes a research task in a case study.
