Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages. PLO 3. To apply modern methods and technologies, IT in particular, for the successful and effective professional activity and quality research within the Hindi philology. PLO 10. To collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folklore facts, to interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the specialisation elected). PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in the field of Hindi philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integration of knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete or insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines "Basics of Translation theory (Hindi)", "Basics of Translation practice (Hindi)", "Stylistics of Hindi", "Hindi Business communication", "Translation theory and methodology (Hindi)". Knowledge of basic techniques of oral and written Hindi-Ukrainian translation.
Course content
The purpose of the educational discipline is to improve the Hindi translation competence of graduate students in the field of industry and agriculture as one of the aspects of training a qualified Hindi translator.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training takes place in the form of interactive lectures and practical classes, which involve the active work of students on oral and written translation in the classroom, self-study work. Completion of homework and translation exercises is mandatory. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of an oral survey and the organization of written tasks, lexical dictations, modular control works.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on the oral answers, written tasks, lexical dictations, translation exercises - 24/40 points, modular test papers - 12/20 points. Final evaluation in the form of exam: max. 40 / min. 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam); the exam is conducted in written and oral forms, the examinational task consists of three questions, viz. 1) translation of an unfamiliar text from Hindi into Ukrainian; 2) translation of an unfamiliar text from Ukrainian to Hindi; 3) oral survey of learned vocabulary. Students who in total scored less than 36 points during the semester are not allowed to pass the exam.
