Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of courses: Oriental language (basic, middle, advanced, functional levels), Introduction to Oriental philology, Fundamentals of translation practice, Translation practice, Fundamentals of translation theory, Linguistic and Country Studies of Oriental Language. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies. 3. Possession of skills of literary and cultural analysis of original works.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form the skills of Orientalists-Chineseists to analyze the language organization of the work, to equip them with the methodology of such analysis. The discipline is designed to provide an adequate understanding of the literary Chinese text on the basis of its perception as an aesthetic phenomenon in the entire system of artistic means for skilled and creative activity at different stages of future learning and scientific work. The discipline is one of the components of comprehensive training in the specialty "Philology (Oriental Languages and Literatures (translation inclusive))" under the program "Chinese Language and Literature and Translation, English", selective block "Chinese Studies: Linguistics and Translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of organization of training: lecture and practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to practical lessons, creative work – analysis (presentation), control work with open answers, final control work. Detailed planned educational events and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. Semester number of points are formed by points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 100 points, in the minimum dimension of 60 points. The discipline ends with a credit, which is exhibited based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
