Learning outcomes
PR01. Be able to apply modern mathematical methods to solve practical problems related to the research and design of biotechnological processes. To use knowledge of physics to analyze biotechnological processes.
PR15. Based on knowledge of the laws of mechanical, hydromechanical, heat and mass transfer processes and basic design features, be able to choose the appropriate equipment in the design of biotechnological products for various purposes to ensure their maximum efficiency.
PR17. To be able to draw up a material balance sheet for one cycle of the production process, equipment specification and a stage control map with production control points.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of disciplines from previous courses of study. 2. be able to independently apply knowledge of processes and apparatus of biotechnological production, perform practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature and patent documentation. 3. Possess basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in a biotechnology laboratory.
Course content
"Equipment of production facilities in the industry" is the only discipline that combines basic and applied science with production. The task of this discipline is to use a complex of fundamental, applied sciences and technical means aimed at ensuring biotechnological production, which involves the use of cells of microorganisms, animals and plants, as well as their products: enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, antibiotics, etc. "Equipment of production facilities in the industry" is the discipline that today allows the implementation of biotechnology and pharmaceutical production using modern experience in the creation and development of technological equipment. The implementation of biotechnology using modern technological equipment will ensure the production of high-quality and competitive products.
