Learning outcomes
PR05. To possess at the operational level the methods of observation, description, identification, classification, cultivation of ornamental plants and plant garden and park groups, maintenance of their decorativeness, stability and stability in the conditions of the complex green zone of the city. PR07. Possess the skills to work independently and as a leader, get results in a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity. PR08. Be able to competently apply the technologies of growing planting material in open and closed soil. PR09. To design and organize events for the cultivation of planting material of ornamental plants in open and closed soil and to form objects of horticulture in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Plant Biology", "Plant Physiology", "Dendrology", "Summer training practice in plant biology". 2. The ability to independently apply knowledge of plant morphology and dendrology within the framework of normative, special disciplines and field practices taught in previous years of study, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodical literature. 3. Possession of elementary skills in using a light microscope, keys for identifying taxa of different ranks.
Course content
The discipline "Decorative horticulture" is a selective educational discipline that forms theoretical and practical knowledge about the range of fruit trees, bushes and vines suitable for decorative horticulture, methods of their formation, growing technology, creation of artificial forms and care for them in plantations.
