Learning outcomes
PR07. Have the skills to work independently and as a leader, to get results in a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity when growing ornamental plants in open and closed soil, designing, creating and operating horticultural facilities. PR08. To be able to competently apply the technologies of planting planting material of ornamental plants in open and closed soil. PR09. To design and organize events for the cultivation of planting material of ornamental woody plants in open and closed soil and to form objects of horticulture in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements. PR10. To design and organize activities for the cultivation of planting material of decorative grass and flower plants in open and closed soil and to form objects of horticulture in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the educational disciplines "Biology of plants", "Entomology", "Dendrology", "Mechanization of work in horticulture". 2. The ability to make calculations according to the given formulas and work with card files. 3. To have basic skills of working in open and closed soil conditions.
Course content
The study discipline "Decorative nurseries" is a discipline of the student's free choice, which forms a comprehensive understanding of the structure and principles of the organization of decorative nurseries, varieties of planting material, soils, water and light supply, nutrition, remedial measures and crop rotation in nurseries, modern technologies of reproduction, cultivation ,formation, stimulation and implementation of standard and large-sized planting material.

Current assessment (current control): 1. Control work 1 with RN 1.1, 2.1 – 30 points/15 points. 2. Control work 2 with RN 1.2, 2.1 – 28 points/14 points. 3. Evaluation of reports on practical works from RN 1.1-3.1 – 30 points/15 points. 4. Two reports with presentations from RN 1.1-3.1 - 12 points/6 points. Final assessment: in the form of credit
