Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses "Oriental Language", "Introduction to Oriental Philology", "Linguistic and Country Studies of the Chinese Language", "Lexicology of the Chinese Language", "Theoretical Grammar of the First Oriental Language", "Fundamentals of Translation Theory", "Fundamentals of Translation Practice", etc.; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies) and cultural studies to the extent necessary for identification and overcoming translation difficulties; 3. Possession of basic skills of translation practice.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline "Translation of Chinese-language economic and commercial texts" is the acquisition by students of practical skills of professional use of the Chinese language in the field of special translation; understanding the specifics of the translator's work with Chinese-language texts of official business style, covering economic and commercial topics; possession of proper theoretical and methodological tools for adequate reproduction of the content, national and stylistic specificity of the Chinese-language original in Ukrainian translation. The discipline is one of the components of comprehensive training in the specialty "Philology (Oriental Languages and Literatures (translation inclusive))" under the program "Chinese Language and Literature and Translation, English", selective block "Chinese Studies: Linguistics and Translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of organization of training: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to practical lessons, project work (report), modular control work. Detailed planned educational events and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. Semester number of points are formed by points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 60 points, in the minimum dimension of 36 points. The discipline ends with an exam. The examination ticket consists of two tasks (max. number of points for each task – 20), in which it is proposed to carry out a written stylistically balanced translation of Chinese-language texts of an economic and commercial nature and analyze their lexical and grammatical features. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
