Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of courses: Practical course of Chinese language, Spoken and Ancient Oriental literature (by language direction), Medieval Oriental literature (by language direction), Linguistic and Country Studies, etc.; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of Oriental philology, literary studies and cultural studies; 3. Possession of the methodology of linguistic and genre-stylistic analysis of artistic text.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to attract oriental students to the literary values of the East, to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the language and style of Chinese prose in the price age and the first half of the twentieth century; education of students' practical ability to analyze multi-genre prose works from the point of view of their linguistic features. The main task associated with the development of the linguistic and stylistic aspect of Chinese prose is to study the actual material on specific examples of historical and literary heritage. The discipline is one of the components of comprehensive training in the specialty "philology (Oriental languages and literatures (translation inclusive))" under the program "Chinese language and literature and translation, English", selective block "Chinese studies: linguistics and translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of training organization: lecture and seminar classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to the seminary lesson, analytical reports, creative projects (presentations), modular control work with open answers and test tasks.Detailed planned educational events and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. Semester number of points are formed by points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 100 points, in the minimum dimension of 60 points. The discipline ends with a credit, which is exhibited based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
