Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of courses "Eastern language: basic level", "Eastern language: intermediate level", "Eastern language: advanced level", "Lexicology of the first eastern language", "Chinese word formation", "Theoretical aspects of Chinese syntax", etc. ; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies); 3) skills of theoretical analysis of the studied material.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to ensure that Chinese students acquire a functional level of knowledge of the Chinese language, as well as the formation of future skills and competencies of practical use of lexical and grammatical units of the language being studied. In practice, the basic knowledge of modern Chinese is acquired and systematized at the functional level. The following main issues are considered: 1) study of the peculiarities of the use of basic lexical units on given topics; 2) consideration and study of grammatical categories and constructions for constructing complex sentences of modern Chinese, etc. The discipline "Eastern Language: Functional Level" (Part 4) is one of the obligatoey components of the complex discipline "Practical course in the first Eastern language".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training activities during the semester: practical classes conducted with the use of interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: writing lexical dictations, writing essays, listening, speaking (oral topic), answering during practical lesson, test works with open answers. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. The minimum score for the semester is 36 points, while the maximum score equals 60. Final assessment: exam. Final assessment: exam. The exam is conducted in the form of written work: 2 practical tasks for translation, each of which is assessed max. 10 points; 1 practical task with open answer, estimated max. 20 points. Criteria for semester and exam assessment are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
