Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting the course, the student should know the main characteristics of the religious traditions of the world. 2. Be able to use information and communication technologies; search, process and analyze information from various sources; to collect and interpret information about phenomena and phenomena of culture and art; to analyze the essence, properties and other systemic characteristics of the phenomenon of religion using special methods of religious studies; apply an interdisciplinary approach when studying the phenomena of religious art. 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; the ability to use information and communication technologies.

Theory and history of religious art: content of the course and its place in the structure of religious knowledge Religious art and cult art: coincidences and differences of terminological systems Functions of religious art Axiological and epistemological features of religious art Forms of religious art Genre differentiation of religious art Classification of religious art with the method of artistic embodiment and the form of sensory perception Religious art as an aesthetic phenomenon. Origin of religious art. The religious content of the artifacts of the Göbekle-Tepe complex (Turkey), the rock painting of the Lascaux cave (France), the Trypil culture (Ukraine) General characteristics of religious art in national religions Religious subjects and motifs in the art of the Pacific region (Vietnam, Korea, Japan). Religious art of China. Sacred art in the Middle East and Maghreb countries in the era of antiquity (Assyria, Babylon, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Algeria) Ancient Greek religious art Religious art of Judaism The phenomenon of Christian art, the history of formation and regional features. Incorporation of the achievements of Arab-Muslim culture (Córdoba culture) into the pan-European heritage of the achievements of civilization Religious art of the late Middle Ages and early modern times on the European continent (Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany) Religious subjects and motifs in modern European art and popular culture. Religious material values as an object of conflict.
