Learning outcomes
PR03. Plan, execute, analyze data and present the results experimental research in the field of biology PR05. Demonstrate assessment skills unpredictable biological problems and deliberate choice of ways to solve them PR09. Follow the provisions of the biological ethics, rules of biological safety and biological protection during training and professional activity. PR10. Know the basics of systematics, methods detection and identification of non-cellular life forms, prokaryotes and eukaryotes and apply them to solve specific biological tasks.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of lecture and practical/seminar/laboratory material classes in the compulsory academic disciplines "Botany", "Fundamentals of ecology and nature conservation", "Zoology" 2. Knowledge of basic methods of field research and methods of light microscopy; 3. Knowledge of systematics of algae, higher plants, animals and fungi; 4. An idea about the peculiarities of the structure of algae, higher plants, animals and fungi
Course content
Educational practice in botany and zoology is an important stage in the preparation of bachelors specialty 091-"Biology". Its task is to consolidate theoretical and scientific-methodological ones knowledge acquired during mastering the theoretical disciplines "Botany" and "Zoology" of the block mandatory academic subjects and direct practical training for work in the field conditions Historically, educational practice in botany and zoology is conducted on the basis of Kanivskyi nature reserve. During practice, students get acquainted with the biological diversity of flora and fauna fauna of Ukraine, methods of collection and preservation of herbarium and collection materials, algorithms for determining algae and fungi, higher plants and animals, as well as principles organization of nature protection work.
