PLO 9. To characterize the theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.) and applied aspects of Arabic philology. PLO 11. To carry out a scientific analysis of language, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PLO 12. To observe the rules of academic integrity. PLO 17. Plan, organize, implement and present research and/or innovative developments in the field of Arabic philology. PLO 18. Present the results of your research to the scientific community in scientific publications or speeches at conferences, round tables, seminars, etc.

Full-time form

Students have to know the lexical and grammatical peculiarities of the Arabic language, the literature of Iran, the theory and practice of translation from the Arabic language and the methodology of its teaching. and methodical nature; to be able to work with educational and scientific information in the field of Arabic studies, to process it, to make generalizations and conclusions regarding linguistic, translational and methodological features; to рossess basic skills of actualization, systematization, deepening of scientific research; comparative analysis, description and assessment for formulating generalizations and substantiating conclusions.

The purpose of the discipline is to write and defend a qualifying (research) master’s thesis; to develop the skills of scientific and research work and to establish the actual compliance of the graduate’s level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty 035 "Philology" (035.067 "Oriental languages and literatures (translation included), the first one is Arabic") under the EP "Oriental philology, Western European language and translation: Arabic language and literature".

Choosing a topic for a master's thesis and writing a detailed work plan on it. Definition of subject, object, development of hypothesis and strategy of research. Determination of the stages and terms of the work. Selection and processing of scientific sources of Ukrainian and world scientific discourse on the subject of the Master's thesis. Preparation of the approval of scientific article on the topic of the qualification work at the Institute scientific conference with the participation of young scientists. Presentation of the scientific article, its discussion at the section and with the scientific supervisor. Assessment, consideration of shortcomings, comments, recommendations. Writing an introduction to a master's thesis. Writing the first chapter of the Master's thesis, eliminating the supervisor's comments. Writing the second chapter of the master's thesis, eliminating the supervisor's comments, etc.

The assessment for writing the master's qualifying research paper consists of three components: 1) assessment by the supervisor, who fills out the feedback form of the supervisor in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to max. 10 points); 2) evaluations of the reviewer who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to max. 45 points) 3) evaluations for the defense of the qualification work (up to max. 45 points), which is issued by the attestation commission and entered in the final evaluation sheet, which also contains the total score as an arithmetic integer of three components (up to max. 100 points).
