Learning outcomes
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Persian language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 13. To analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and Persian fiction and oral folk art, to determine their specificity and place in the literary process of Iran and Ukraine. PLO 16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, to be able to apply them in professional activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the course "Ancient Literature". Knowledge of theoretical foundations of literary studies, ancient literature and ancient literature of the East, school curriculum on foreign literature. Possession of the basic toolkit of artistic text analysis. Ability to carry out a basic literary analysis of an artistic text, to distinguish literary eras, trends, styles and phenomena.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the features of modern and new literary phenomena of the literary process from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 21st century, cultural-historical, social and artistic-aesthetic factors that mediate these processes in their theoretical and methodological connections with the history of foreign literature, history and literature of the countries of the Middle and Far East, Oriental studies and a range of Oriental studies topics, literary studies and partly translation studies, deepening of the skills of literary and critical analysis already acquired during the Ancient Literature course, expanded ability to interpret artistic texts with expressive Orientalistic, multicultural and transcultural components, as well as apply the cultural and aesthetic potential of the acquired body of knowledge, skills and abilities in further professional philological activities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Education takes place in the form of lectures, seminar classes and independent work of students, which involves preparing for oral answers, writing a creative essay, compiling a dictionary of literary terms, preparation for modular control tests.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work and the unsupervised work of students. All types of work for the semester have as a result: max. 60 points, min. 36 points. The final number of points for the discipline (max. 100 points / min. 60 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment during exam (max. 40 / min 24).
