PLO1. To communicate fluently on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state and foreign languages orally and in writing, to use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO10. To know the norms of literary language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO11. To know the principles, technologies and techniques of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state and Modern Greek and English languages. PLO13. To analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, to determine their specificity and place in the Modern Greek literary process.

Full-time form

1. Know the definitional content of the concepts of "literary language" and "communication". 2. Be able to comment on the normative characteristics of the Ukrainian literary language. 3. Possess elementary skills of linguistic and stylistic differentiation of professional communication spheres.

The aim of the discipline is to develop students' professional knowledge of the Ukrainian literary language as a resource in the context of learning a foreign language and its use in professional communication. The functional and stylistic features of the literary language as a resource for Ukrainian professional communication are studied. Common and distinctive features, typical/invariant forms of language for the realization of professional communication tasks in Ukrainian and English communicative discourse are determined. Objectives: to provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills of analyzing the Ukrainian language in the areas of professional communication, to compare the linguistic realization of the tasks of professional communication in Ukrainian and English communicative discourse (media, science, official business space, author's fiction texts, translations).

The discipline is taught through such learning activities as oral answers and tests. Teaching methods used in the educational process are lectures, seminars, creative and research tasks, and independent work.

The form of final control is a test. During the semester, scientific reports, practical assignments, and control surveys in the form of open-ended questions included in the relevant content areas are evaluated. The total number of points for the test is 25. To receive an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the test should not be less than 15 points (60%). A student is not allowed to take the test if he or she has scored less than 45 points (60%) during the semester.
