Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. As a result of studying the discipline, the student should know: the subject and functions of philosophy; worldview and its historical types; genesis of philosophy and its relationship with the specifics and structure of philosophical knowledge; the main range of philosophical problems; categorical definitions of being; development of ideas about matter in the philosophical aspects of the problem of motion; modern concepts of space and time; historical forms of dialectics; alternatives to dialectics; 2. Be able to: distinguish and identify the specifics of different types of worldviews; link general philosophical problems with the solution of problems in various fields of modern science; make a comparative analysis of philosophical and specific comparative analysis of the philosophical and concrete scientific interpretation of existence; 3. Possess basic skills of scientific research, understand the essence of philosophical problems, topics, ideas.

Part 1: Foundations of philosophical thinking Topic 1: General concepts of philosophy Topic 2. The essence of philosophy and features of of philosophising Topic 3. Worldview: concept, structure, types Theme 4. Strategies and directions of modern philosophy Part 2. The main problems of philosophy Topic 5. Ontology as a philosophical doctrine of being. Metaphysics. Dialectics Topic 6. Consciousness as a philosophical problem Topic 7. Philosophy of knowledge. Science as a socio-cultural and and cognitive phenomenon. Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral report, supplementary reports and participation in seminar discussions: 28/44 points. 2. Self-study (essay): 2/6 points 3. Test: 6/10 points The semester number of points is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering material from all parts of the discipline. The total semester grade consists of points received for classroom work (oral reports, additions and participation in discussions at seminars), Self-study (essays) and tests. All types of work in the semester have in total: - maximum - 60 points - minimum - 36 points The final assessment is in the form of an exam: Exam in written form - 24/40 points
