Learning outcomes
LO08. Use field and laboratory methods for analysis of natural and socio-geographic objects and systems. LO09. Carry out research on the geographical envelope and its spheres using quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis. LO10. Analyze the composition and structure of natural and social of geographical objects and systems (according to specialization) on at different spatio-temporal levels. LO15. Know and explain changes in the geographical envelope of positions of the concept of sustainable development

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Educational practice on acquisition methods geographic information", "Educational practice on methods of processing geographic information", "Basics of GIS", "GIS in natural geography". 2. Know the main sources of data and information for the implementation of natural of geographical research, the main provisions of geoinformatics and their features application in the context of studies of landscapes and their components. 3. To be able to analyze the peculiarities of natural and anthropogenic processes in geographical envelopes, to be able to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the state geocomponents and predict changes in them; 4. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to use them apply in production and research activities; be able to model objects and processes using modern quantitative and qualitative methods and geo-information technologies.
Course content
The content of the academic discipline reveals the technologies of conducting research with the help of geoinformation programs, computer mapping of the landscape, as well as the use of a number of mathematical methods in landscape planning and design.

Assessment methods and criteria
Survey in test form,evaluation of practical works, MKW, exam .The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), a mandatory condition for admission to the exam is to write essays on issues of missed or insufficiently mastered topics. The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24.
