            Course content
        
        
            The purpose of the discipline - the formation of knowledge, skills and abilities related to the basic theoretical and practical aspects of the phonetic system of the Chinese language, mastering the basic concepts and complexities of the phonetic system in theoretical and practical terms.This discipline includes lectures and practical tasks that will help students get acquainted with the phonetic system of the Chinese language, master the basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills for further mastering the Chinese language at the next levels of language training. The discipline "Theory and Practice of Chinese Phonetics" is one of the components of the complex discipline "General Theoretical Course of Chinese Language" (Part 1), specialty "Philology (Eastern languages and literatures (translation included)), major - Chinese" of the educational program "Chinese language and literature and translation, English language".

            Planned learning activities and teaching methods
        
        
            The course provides the following forms of training: lectures and seminars conducted using interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom activities, answers during seminars, written tests. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. The minimum score for the semester is 36 points, while the maximum score equals 60. Final assessment: the exam, which is conducted in the form of written work, which is rated a maximum of 30 points, as well as the oral part in the form of reading aloud and reproducing rhythmic and intonation models with a maximum score of 10 points. Criteria for semester assessment and assessment criteria for the exam are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
