Learning outcomes
To know: ● features of economic processes that underlie the payments and credit relations in European countries; ● key data on the main stages of development of settlement and payment relations in European countries; ● applied methods and techniques of analysis of the functioning of the European System of Central Banks; ● key theories of international settlement and credit relations; ● basic tools, instruments and procedural aspects of the implementation of the common credit policy in the euro area; ● development trends and consequences of crisis processes in the field of settlement and payment relations in European countries; ● using the TARGET system.

Content module 1. Theoretical foundations of international settlement and credit relations Introduction to the discipline. Theoretical aspects of international settlements and prerequisites for their implementation in the EU The evolution of settlement and credit relations t the present stage Institutional support of settlements in European business International legal regulation of settlement and credit relations in Risks and ways to minimize them in international settlement and credit agreements of EU countries Content module 2. Mechanisms of introduction of modern forms of settlement and credit relations in European business The latest tools for the introduction of foreign trade settlements and payments in European business Combining credit and payment as a tool to ensure the fulfillment of obligations in European business Convergence of settlement and credit mechanisms of the financial system of the EU countries
