Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know and be able to use knowledge about the specifics of modern areas and methods of psychotherapy in research, teaching and practical work at the level of a student who completed the 1st year of master's degree at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
2. Have basic skills of psychotherapeutic work.
Course content
The discipline "Fundamentals of Existential Psychotherapy" is aimed at forming an understanding of the worldview and methodological foundations of existential psychotherapy and mastering the basic practical skills of an existential psychotherapist. The focus is on an excursion into the existential worldview, the ability to consider psychopathology in terms of phenomenological and existential approach and to determine its relationship with the ultimate facts of human existence.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of participation in the seminar: 30/18.
Assessment of participation in practical work: 30/18.
Final test: 40/24.
Organization of assessment: carried out during all types of training sessions and based on the results of independent work; after topic 5 the final control work is carried out.
Final assessment: credit.
Recommended minimum for admission to the test: 40 points.
The test is based on the results of the student's work during the semester:
- At the maximum number of points (100) does not provide additional measures for evaluation.
- For a total of less than 60, but more than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points - a test in the form of an oral question on the subject of the course and a creative individual task, which is estimated at 20 points.
- For less than 40 points - are not allowed to take the test.
Rating scale: 0-59 - not credited; 60-100 - credit.
