Course content
The discipline "History of Chinese Literature" is a complex multi-semester discipline consisting of 4 parts: Part 1. Oral and Ancient Chinese Literature (2 credits); Part 2. Chinese literature of the II-XII centuries. (4 credits); Part 3. Chinese Traditional Drama (2 credits); Part 4. Chinese literature of the XIV-XIX centuries. (3 credits). Within the framework of the third part, the discipline "Chinese traditional drama", theoretical and practical material is presented regarding the peculiarities of the influence of Chinese drama on the formation of the cultural environment and literary thought. The educational discipline includes the study of specific historical and literary monuments of the Chinese people, their adequate understanding and genre and stylistic analysis. Within the third part, two modules are defined: Module 1. "The origin and formation of Chinese theater in turbulent times: the Yuan era" and Module 2. "Chinese drama of the 14th-19th centuries: the variety of local theatrical genres." Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of training: lectures and seminars conducted using interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom activities, answers during seminars, analytical report (presentation), module tests, as well as course work on topics and issues of the discipline. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. The minimum score for the semester is 60 points, while the maximum score equals 100. The course ends with a final test. A "pass" is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities. Criteria for semester assessment are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
