To know: the specificity of childhood and its cultural and historical relevance; classification of methods of age psychology; historical development of the main ideas of age psychology; content and specificity of human ontogenetic development. Be able to: navigate the variety of theories of age psychology as a scientific discipline; develop the design of experiments and empirical studies on the problems of mental development in ontogeny; determine the causes of difficulties in school education; determine the expediency of using techniques and methods of one or another methodological paradigm of psychological science when working with a problem child.

to form in students a holistic idea of ​​the patterns of mental development of a person in ontogenesis and psychological features of childhood, which will become the basis for their further professional activities in high school.
