To understand the essence, features of crises and crisis communication. To know the components of crisis communication plan. To know the rules of effective crisis communication. To understand the ways to use Internet for crisis response. To be able to develop crisis communication plan. To be able to develop key messages for target audiences in time of crisis. To be able to use different communication channels to interact with target audiences in time of crisis. To take part or organize discussions of the crisis communication issues and ways to improve crisis response.

To know basics of communication theory and public relations, types and models of communication, basics of planning and carrying out PR campaigns, communication technologies. To be able to use information sources, analyze communication processes and write information materials.
