Learning outcomes
PR 9. Collect, evaluate, interpret and use geospatial data, metadata about objects of natural and man-made origin, apply statistical methods of their analysis to solve specialized problems in the field of geodesy and land management.
PR 10. Choose and apply tools, equipment, equipment and software, which are necessary for remote, terrestrial, field and camera research in the field of geodesy and land management
PR 11. Organize and perform remote, ground, field and camera work in the field of geodesy and land management, prepare the results of the work, prepare relevant reports.
PR 15. Develop and make effective decisions regarding professional activity in the field of geodesy and land management, including under conditions of uncertainty.
Form of study
Distance form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basics of the electromagnetic theory of light: electromagnetic waves and the speed of their propagation; scale of electromagnetic waves; properties of electromagnetic radiation of various ranges.
2. Knowledge of the nature and characteristics of optical radiation: propagation of light, speed of light, reflection and laws of refraction, interference, diffraction, dispersion of light.
3. Ability to solve problems using functional dependencies between basic physical quantities (harmonic oscillations, wavelength, laws of geometric optics, interference and diffraction of light).
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the formation of basic knowledge about modern methods and means of obtaining data of remote sensing of the Earth; physical bases of recording and transmission of remote sensing information; acquiring the skills of processing space shooting materials and their interpretation through visual, statistical, attributive analysis of input data using automated methods and modern software; promote
dissemination of knowledge and information of the DZZ in professional and social activities.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final grade from the educational component, the final form of control of which is the exam, is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully assessed study results of 60 points and the exam of 40 points. Scores below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final score.
It is mandatory to receive a positive final grade (60 points and above and "passed") to complete all laboratory work and modular control work
