Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of a school course in geography, history, and a foreign language.
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the physical geography of chemistry, physics, the ability to establish causal relationships between natural and social processes.
3. Mastery of information synthesis and analysis methods.
Course content
The discipline is dedicated to the study of the basic principles of geoecology as a science and problems related to rational nature management. Accordingly, the course consists of two substantive parts:
the idea of geoecology as an independent scientific direction (content module
1) and scientific foundations of rational nature management (content module 2).
Within the framework of the first module, the main tasks of geoecology as a science, its object and subject of study, structure, theoretical and practical significance are considered. Various interpretations of the term "geoecology" are revealed.
