Learning outcomes
PRN 8. To evaluate historical heritage and the latest achievements of philological science, in particular folkloristics. PRN 11. Carry out a scientific analysis of folklore material, interpret and structure it taking into account classical and modern methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PRN 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge of folkloristics to solve complex problems and problems that require updating and integration of knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete or insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Master's students must possess basic factual knowledge of a humanitarian nature, know the main provisions of concepts, theories and teachings about traditional and professional culture, world models of folklorism of national literature, forms of reception of folklore in literature, which form the basis of a systematic study of folklore and literature. To be able to organize the process of selection of empirical material and independently carry out research work on the chosen issue, adapting priority concepts, theories and methods of observation, generalization and comprehensive analysis of the researched material. To have the methods of scientific analysis and structuring of empirical material taking into account classical and modern methodological principles; correctly use the terminology used in the study of folklore and literary communication, in research work corresponding to the second (master's) level.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to provide a theoretical synthesis of the ideas of modern humanitarianism on the issues of studying folklore and cultural connections, to outline the significance of authorial folklorism in Ukrainian culture as a means of preserving and developing its ethnic components. Abstract. The educational discipline is aimed at getting acquainted with the theoretical problems of the "folklore-centric" methodology of studying folklore-literary connections. Its subject is the study of the issues of folklore studies of national culture and the specification of these principles in relation to Ukrainian culture. The task of the discipline: to reveal the fundamental historical and typological foundations of the triad "folklore - professional creativity - folklorism"; to gain basic knowledge and master modern methods of identifying folklore borrowings in professional creativity.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. The first part of the course is "Methodological and methodical problems of the study of folklorism in literature." The second part of the course is "Persistence and changeability of folklore and author's traditions in classical and modern Ukrainian literature as an object of research on folklore-literary connections." Forms of education: lectures, seminars, scientific seminar, independent work. Throughout the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, supplement, report at a scientific seminar, blitz survey, participation in discussions at lectures and seminar classes, intermediate control test, credit) . A scientific seminar is held no later than the last lecture week, at which students present an independently prepared scientific report on one of the topical problems of modern folkloristics.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility - 60% of the overall assessment . Assessment of the semester work: oral answer, additions, participation in the discussion during the lecture, creative and research tasks: scientific (popular science article, review, digest), report - 48/80 p. Among them: oral answer, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz polls, intermediate control test: 36/56 b. Scientific seminar presentation of a scientific report: 12/24 b. The discipline ends with a written assessment on 12/20 b.
