Learning outcomes
Carry out a description and analysis of the international situation, collect from various sources the necessary information about international and foreign policy events and processes.
Collect, process and analyze a large amount of information on the state of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, regional systems, international communications.
Carry out applied analysis of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, international processes and the international situation in accordance with the objectives, prepare information and analytical documents.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know about: basics of modern information systems and technologies, mathematical foundations of information technologies, system methods of research of international relations, modern conceptual approaches to the formation of the system of international relations, the main trends in modern world politics.
Be able to: formulate the goals and objectives of the study, collect the necessary information about events in the country and in the world, to determine the key message, the target audience.
Have basic skills: working with a computer, preparing presentations, literacy, formulation and logical presentation of one's own opinion.
Course content
Content Module 1.
Topic 1. The main provisions and methodological aspects of information and analytical work in the field of international relations.
Topic 2. Methods of forming the information base of the study.
Topic 3. Methods of developing analytical forecasts in the field of international relations.
Topic 4. Information and analytical work in foreign institutions.
Content module 2.
Topic 5. Preparation of different types of information and analytical documents.
Topic 6. Methods of analytical and synthetic processing of primary information.
Topic 7. Event analysis in the study of international relations.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, practical lesson, conducting subject discussions at seminars, independent search for quantitative and qualitative information about international events / processes and presentation of results in the form of analytical documents
Assessment methods and criteria
Participation in individual and group mini-studies using
specific approach, written homework, assessment of activity and participation in discussions, quality of participation and answers during group presentations.
