Learning outcomes
PLO 3 Organize the process of learning and self-education. PLO 4 Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, society. PLO 7 Understand the main issues of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 14 Use Ukrainian and English in oral and written form in various genres, stylistic varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral) for solving communicative tasks in social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 20 Create texts of different genres and styles (poetry, prose, drama). PLO 24.2 Create and translate texts of different genres and topics, prepare materials for publication in Ukrainian and English. Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course is aimed at synthesizing and deepening the student's ability to express creative ideas through the artistic form of literary works, addressing its phonetic, morphemic, lexical, syntactic, and figurative levels. The annotation states: The discipline ensures the formation and further development of skills and abilities in expressing creative ideas using linguistic material in the artistic form of literary works. Within the discipline, students actualize their experience in writing fiction, refine and edit previously written works, and/or create new texts of a specified volume and structure. Students acquire practical skills in creating engaging and persuasive narrative texts for professional and personal communication, as well as for creative introspection.
Course content

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities during the semester include oral and written responses, additions, participation in discussions, creative exercises, creative tasks (essay, review, feedback), author's text (literary and artistic work) of a small form, including specified volume and genre, and a test with open-ended answers. Teaching methods include lectures, practical classes, and independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester score is based on the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material throughout the course. Oral or written responses are evaluated with a maximum of 3/minimum of 2 (for a passing grade); additions, comments, participation in discussions - max. 2/min. 1; creative exercise (oral or written) - max. 5/min. 3; creative task (essay, review, feedback) - max. 10/min. 6; author's text (literary and artistic work) of a small form (sketch, study) - max. 10/min. 6; author's text of a large form (short story, novella) - max. 20/min. 12. The discipline is concluded with a credit. Grading scale: "Passed" – 60-100, "Failed" – 0-59.
