Learning outcomes
PLO 7 Understand the main issues of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 8 Know and understand the language system, general characteristics of literature as the art of words, history of the Ukrainian language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in the professional activity. PLO 19 Have the skills to participate in theoretical and/or applied studies in the field of philology. PLO 21.2 Know literary process in Ukraine and the world of the 20th–21st centuries, as well as the context of literature, in particular, among other types of art. PLO 23.2 Analyze aesthetic features of the personal texts and texts of different writers.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
A necessary condition to access "Literary criticism: practicum" course is the following competencies of the student: 1. to know the basics of literary analysis of artistic works, the literary process, the genre paradigm of literary works, to have the skills of literary and critical writing; 2. be able to: analyze and systematize trends in the development of the modern literary process, formulate own original conclusions based on collected facts, distinguish the works and creativity of modern Ukrainian writers according to their place in the literary hierarchy, analyze literary and artistic magazines, literary Internet portals, blogs, features their functioning in modern critical discourse, to understand the peculiarities of understanding and evaluation of the modern literary process by leading critics and scientists; 3. to have elementary skills of literary and critical writing.
Course content
The discipline involves the formation of literary and critical writing skills. The course is aimed at: acquainting students with the genre system of literary criticism (summary, review, in particular with new types - review-navigator, review-filter, review-signal, review-stimulus, literary-critical article (review, polemical, problematic, anniversary. article-dialogue, essay), literary and critical portrait), their transformations and modifications, examples of these genres in modern literary and artistic periodicals and in the Internet, writing of various genres of literary and critical materials, taking into account their addressability to a certain publication.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities: answers during seminars (maximum score 2 points, minimum score – 1 point), individual creative tasks (maximum score 15, minimum score – 10.5 points). Teaching methods: lectures, seminars, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final assessment is an exam, with the maximum number of points being 40. To obtain a positive grade, the minimum required points on the exam is 24 (60% of the maximum points assigned to the exam). If a student scores less than 24 points on the exam, regardless of the number of points received during the semester, they will not receive additional points, and the overall result is marked as "unsatisfactory" on the national scale. The compliance scale of final grades is as follows: "Excellent" - 90-100, "Good" - 75-89, "Satisfactory" - 60-74, "Unsatisfactory" - 0-59.
