Learning outcomes
PLO 4 Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, society. PLO 7 Understand the main issues of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 8 Know and understand the language system, general characteristics of literature as the art of words, history of the Ukrainian language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in the professional activity. PLO 17 Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex tasks and issues in specialized areas of professional activities and/or study. PLO 22.1 Know the principles of creativity process and writing texts of different genres, as well as understand concepts and laws of the book market, principles of literary works analysis, their critical assessment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of academic disciplines: "Fundamentals of Literary Studies", "History of Ukrainian Literature", "History of Western European Literature", a number of creative courses "Poetry Workshop", "Prose Workshop", "Drama Workshop", "Criticism Workshop" combined into a comprehensive discipline "Workshops of literary creativity".
Course content
The purpose of teaching the discipline is an in-depth study of literature as the art of words, its sources, nature, aesthetic essence and functioning in the circle of other arts, thanks to the structural and semiotic methodology of researching cultural phenomena. The subject of the discipline is the study of the symbolic nature of a literary work, its structure, patterns of creation and research using the resources of literary semiotics. Students are invited to familiarize themselves with the terminological base of structural-semiotic studies in literary studies, to understand the individual works of outstanding scientists who studied the universality of imagery by means of words, the relationship between various artistic phenomena, and to apply a structural-semiotic approach to the analysis of specific literary works and the latest hybrid forms of literature.

Oral answer - minimum 1 / maximum 5; additions, participation in the discussion - minimum 0.5 / maximum 2; control work with open answers minimum 1 / maximum 10; creative task minimum 1 / maximum 10; abstract task minimum 1 / maximum 10; The form of the final evaluation is the credit.
