7. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret acts related to the development of religions and denominations, use them to solve complex tasks in specialized areas of professional activity. 8. Critically evaluate and analyze information from various sources on religious issues. 9. Use information technologies to identify modern trends in the coexistence of religions and confessions in the conditions of globalization and intercultural dialogue.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting the study of this course, students should know the basic religious concepts and their essence; basic concepts of the study of religion; the essence and significance of religion in the spiritual and cultural life of society; geography 2. To be able to justify one's worldview position regarding the importance of religion in human life; to analyze the activity of religious organizations and their influence on culture and development of society; apply theoretical knowledge when solving professional tasks. 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding religious, political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources.
Course content
The discipline "Geography of Religion" introduces students to the basic concepts of the geography of religion, its methodology. The subject, tasks, theoretical foundations, methodology, main directions and problems of modern research in the field of geography of religion are defined. The influence of the geographical factor on the emergence, functioning and development of religions is clarified. The genesis of the geography of religion is considered, its main directions are outlined. The main methodological principles of the geography of religion are explained. The peculiarities of religious life in different regions of the world and the regularities of the functioning of religion depending on the geographical region are consistently considered. In this connection, the geography of religion appears as an alternative to common approaches to the study of religion.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. For students who scored a total of less than the critical minimum of 60 points, in order to receive credit, it is necessary to complete the missed topics in writing and submit/send by e-mail to the teacher conducting the seminar classes. Thus, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
