PRN 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or learning. Apply knowledge from the field of Balto-Slavic linguistic and cultural continuum in the practice of translation. PRN 24.2. Apply methods and strategies established in translation studies for oral and written translation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the discipline "Lithuanian-Ukrainian translation of the discourse of the mass media" involves the knowledge of the basic vocabulary and grammar of modern Lithuanian language (OK "Lithuanian language", OK "Practical course of Lithuanian language"); knowledge of professional philological terminology and terminology, which students have learned during listening to the comprehensive discipline "Introduction to Philology" ("Introduction to Literary Studies", "Latin", "Introduction to Linguistics"); knowledge of translation terminology and issues that were mastered by the applicants within the complex discipline "Theory and Practice of Translation" ("Introduction to Translation Studies", Regional Studies and Folklore of Lithuanian Language"). Higher education applicants must have the ability to summarize and summarize (OK "Scientific image of the world").
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form the knowledge, skills and skills necessary for the implementation of qualitative and correct Lithuanian-Ukrainian oral translation. Issues of Lithuanian-Ukrainian oral translation are considered, which provide for characteristics of its types (consistent, bilateral, contact, synchronous, etc.), principles, strategies, mechanisms, areas of application. Within the discipline, students perform tasks related to oral Lithuanian-Ukrainian translation with a sheet (oral) academic (scientific, educational, pedagogical), tourist, sports, public, entertainment and musical discours social and humanitarian topics. The issues of improving the technique of oral academic speech, translation, mnemonics, the development of short -term memory, the specifics of the distribution of attention of oral translator, as well as lacunarity in oral translation are considered.

Assessment methods and criteria
Answers to the to the practical classes, spontaneous monologue and dialogue speech, report with presentation, home reading / individual reading individual reading, written assignment (writing compositions, essays, letters). Final assessment: credit. The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Therefore, the final grade in the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
