Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course "Scientific image of the world" is studied on the basis of knowledge of the subjects that students studied in the first year and a complete general education.
Course content
The discipline "Scientific view of the world" belongs to the list of mandatory disciplines of OP "Religious studies" field of knowledge 031 "Religious studies", the first (bachelor's) level of higher education. The course "Scientific image of the world" ensures the perception and assimilation of modern multidisciplinary theories. The discipline introduces students to the concept of science, scientific research, scientific outlook, scientific image of the world. Studying the first part of the discipline is familiar students with the main stages of development of the scientific image of the world, methods of scientific research and scientific knowledge, provides basic concepts and understanding of the world around us: the construction and development of the universe, the concept of life, its appearance and development, the physical nature of the phenomena that surround us. Mastering the material of the second part of the discipline will enable students to know and understand modern trends in the development of science and technology, to be able to explain the goals and objectives of modern natural science, the relationship between the life of a modern person and scientific achievements. The study of the discipline is aimed at raising the level of education of students, developing their logical and analytical thinking, acquiring skills for working with scientific and popular scientific literature of a profile different from their professional, which in the future can be used by them in the performance of their professional activities.

Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment (in the form of credit): 30 points / 18 points - Written work in the form of a test and an oral interview; - The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student is 30 points; - Learning outcomes are evaluated - Test task (20 points) and oral answer to one question (10 points); In order to obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the credit score cannot be lower 18 points; - A student is not allowed to take credit if he scored less than 42 points during the semester
