Learning outcomes
PLO 25. To develop and improve programs of educational disciplines in the Arabic and/or French / English languages, educational and methodical materials.
PLO 26. To conduct educational classes, provide consultations to students on academic disciplines in Arabic and/or French / English, as well as provide individual student support (mentoring) during studies, using modern innovative methods and technologies of higher education.
PLO 27. To carry out an objective assessment of learning results (attestation) and to provide recommendations for improving learning results.
PLO 28. To apply modern pedagogical methods and technologies in the organization of the educational process and methodical work in higher education.
PLO 29. To use specialized psychological knowledge in the organization of the main types of activities in a higher educational institution, to apply psychological methods of optimizing the educational process.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the following courses “Pedagogy in Higher School and Pedagogic Skill of a Teacher”, “Psychology in Higher School”, “Methods of Teaching Arabic in Higher School”, and “Arabic: Functional Level".
Course content
The goal of the course is to form magister students’ practical skills and their skills in the modern working conditions of a higher education institution based on the acquired theoretical knowledge of professional disciplines, pedagogy, psychology, methods of teaching Arabic in higher school; mastering up-to-date methods and techniques of preparing and delivering lectures, seminars and practical classes on a subject matter.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
There are four parts of assistant’s practical activity:
1. Participation in the setting conference, acquaintance with the scientific and methodological literature of the language centers in the Department of Languages and Literatures of the Middle East, curriculum, working programs of teachers of the department, attending lectures, seminars and practical classes of teachers of the department. Preparing individual work plan.
2. Approval by the supervisor of the practical activity of the individual plan of the student and topics of practical (seminar) lectures. Preparation for classes. Delivering 5-6 test lectures.
3. Writing two detailed plans-synopsis of practical (seminar) classes, holding two test classes in the specialty.
4. Сompilation of documentation and report on the results.
Assessment methods and criteria
The summarized evaluation of the results of the practical activity (min. 60 / max. 100 points) consists of the points received during 4 stages as follows: 1st stage – 6/10 points, 2nd stage – 12/20 points, 3 1st stage – 18/30 points, 4th stage – 24/40 points.
