PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize.
PLO 16. Identify the main world mythologies in folklore and analyze them.
PLO 22. Know the system and norms of the Ukrainian language and be able to apply them in practice; analyze language units, determine their interaction and characterize language phenomena and processes that determine them.
PLO 23. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction, determine their specifics and place in the literary process.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students should know the main types and methods of communication. Be able to work with various sources of educational and scientific information, process it, make generalizations and conclusions. Possess elementary skills of scientific research; search and processing of educational and scientific information.
Course content
Purpose of discipline - to form students' knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the communicative process; main classifications of communicative strategies; ways of implementing communicative strategies in folklore.
Annotation. The discipline involves the study of the main provisions of the theory of communication, communicative strategies and tactics in folklore, channels, codes, the context of acts of folklore communication, the position of communicators, the main theoretical issues of verbal and non-verbal folklore communication.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. Forms of education: lectures, seminars, independent work. Throughout the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminar classes are held, at which evaluation is carried out according to the types of work (oral answer, addition, participation in discussion, presentation, control work, credit).
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication) - 60% of the overall assessment. The overall grade for the semester consists of the points obtained for the classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the processing of theoretical material for preparation for the classroom: oral answers, additions, participation in the discussion, current and final control work, defense of the presentation) and for independent work (presentation preparation). The final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
