PLO 1. To communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in national and foreign (Persian and English) languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary Persian and English languages and be able to apply them in practical activities. PLO 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in national and foreign (Persian and English) languages. PLO 12. To analyze Persian language units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and processes that cause them. PLO 20. To demonstrate basic knowledge of translation theory, basic theoretical and practical problems of translation studies in the aspect of a specific pair of languages (Persian and Ukrainian).

Successful mastering of the disciplines “The Persian language: advanced level”, “Basics of Translation Practice”, “Basics of Translation Theory”, “Translation Practice”, “Stylistics of the Persian language: a translational aspect”

The goal of the discipline is to improve and develop students' skills in performing oral and written Ukrainian-Persian translation based on knowledge of the basic principles of the general and partial theory of translation.

The discipline provides only practical classes, aimed at further development of students’ skills in oral and written two-way translation. Completion of homework and translation is mandatory. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of an oral questioning and organizing written tasks, tests, lexical dictations, modular control works.

Semestral assessment is based on: oral responses, written works, lexical dictations, and translation exercises – 24/40 points, modular control works – 12/20 points. Summarizing evaluation in the form of exam is max. 40 / min. 24 points (60% of minimum required quantity); the exam is conducted in a written form and includes translating of one unfamiliar text from Persian into Ukrainian and one unfamiliar text from Ukrainian into Persian. Students who scored less than 36 points in total during the semester are not allowed to take the exam.
