Learning outcomes
1. Apply specialized conceptual knowledge in political science, which includes modern scientific achievements in the field of professional activity or field of knowledge and is the basis for original thinking and conducting research. 2. Make effective decisions on issues of politics, political science and related problems, including in difficult and unpredictable conditions; predict the development of political processes; determine the factors affecting them and the achievement of the set goals. 3. Critically evaluate the principles of the exercise of power and public policy, political institutions and processes, world politics and the politics of individual countries and regions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To have systematized knowledge and ideas about the categorical and methodological apparatus of political science, politics, power, political system, political regimes, to have systematized knowledge of the disciplines "history of foreign political teachings", "general theory of politics", "geopolitics", etc. 2. To be able to navigate in current information about political phenomena and processes in foreign countries, to have knowledge of classic political theories and concepts (theory of democracy, theory of elites and leadership, theory of the political system, international relations). 3. Have developed skills in scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political events and phenomena.
Course content
The discipline introduces students to the main changes in the political discourse of the 20th-21st centuries, the pluralization of its content both thematically and methodologically; acquainting students with the peculiarities of the institutionalization of political science within various national political science schools; acquainting students with the current problems of modern foreign political science and highlighting the main directions of political science research in the 21st century
