Prerequisites and co-requisites
Understanding of the basic concepts of morphology and syntax, the place of morphology and syntax in the language system, morphological and syntactic norms of the modern Ukrainian literary language. Ability to build Ukrainian speech with due regard for grammatical norms. Possession of skills of scientific research, search, processing and analysis of information from various sources, including professional literature; use of information and communication technologies to solve professional problems.
Course content
The course provides students with an understanding of the peculiarities of the functional-communicative linguodidactic model of the Ukrainian language, analysis of the main provisions of its functional morphology and functional syntax, differences between functional grammar and theoretical description of language. The course is structured into 2 modules. The first module forms a professional understanding of the units of morphology, functional features of different parts of speech, and the second module - of the units of syntax, types of syntactic relations, classification of Ukrainian sentences in the functional aspect and ways of expressing attributive and temporal relations in simple and complex sentences in Ukrainian.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study: lectures, practical classes, independent work. Teaching methods: explanation of new material, independent work with scientific literature, conversation, review of a classmate's answer, independent work on an analytical task, collective morphological and syntactic analysis, interactive methods (work in pairs and small groups).
Assessment methods and criteria
