Course content
1. Introduction to the course. Culture of the prehistoric ancestors of the Ukrainian people 2. Culture of Russia-Ukraine in the 9th-15th centuries, elements of the Pre-Renaissance 3. The Renaissance in Ukrainian ethnic lands (end of the XV-XVII centuries) 4. Ukrainian state and cultural self-assertion. Ukrainian Baroque culture of the XVII-XVIII centuries. 5. Ukrainian culture during the national awakening of the 19th century. 6. Ukrainian national culture of the modern era2 FOREIGN CULTURE 7. Cultural development of the countries of the world: peculiarities, characteristic features, stages (territorial and regional approach) 8. Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar classes are conducted according to the study schedule in the form of a discussion. Participation in the discussion at the seminar session is valued at a maximum of 5 points. A module test is conducted at the last lecture session of each module. Module control 1 involves the preparation and defense of a written abstract (essay). The maximum score is 25 points. The final modular control work can be evaluated in 40 points (full evaluation). To enroll in the course during the semester, the student must receive at least 60 points: 21 points for participation in seminar classes, 15 points for the preparation and defense of a written essay, and 24 points for the final module test.
