Learning outcomes
Students’ acquisition of theoretical knowledge about the main sectors of the financial market of insurance, commercial banking, derivatives, capital markets and asset management, as well as the ability to conduct intersectoral functional analysis and identify anomalies of different legal regimes in relevant sectors and key trends in banking services in the EU

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge the basics of European Union law; definitions and features of the concept of "financial instruments"; the provisions of the EU's founding treaties on the freedom of movement of capital. Ability to analyze and draw legal conclusions on the level of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the sphere of commercial banking. Possession of basic skills of analysis of legal documents and agreements in the field of foreign economic activity.

Thematic plan of the discipline: 1. Introduction to finance and financial markets. 2. Corporate finance and regulationю 3. Equity Financing. 4. Debt Financing. 5. Derivatives. 6. Other types of financial activity. 7. Banking law and regulation.

Lecture, seminar, solving practical cases, performing tasks of independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Current control: answers (up to 30 points), additions (up to 6 points), case studies (up to 4 points), independent work (up to 10 points), final modular test (up to 8 points). The form of final control is an exam. The exam is conducted in writing. The student's answer to the exam – up to 40 points.
