Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of professional disciplines during previous courses.
2. Knowledge of phonetic laws, grammatical structures and syntax rules of the Turkish language;
3. Possession of oral and written translation skills.
Course content
The discipline "Oriental Language: Functional Level" is a compulsory component of the educational and scientific program "Oriental Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature"; level of education: first (VII semester; 60 hours in total, including 30 hours of practical classes, 30 hours of independent work). This discipline forms the main types of speech activities in Turkish: reading, speaking, writing and listening; communicative speech competencies of students: perception and understanding of elementary discourse by ear, ability to communicate on topics defined by the program, understanding of the text and the ability to reproduce what has been read. The course ends with an exam.
