Prerequisites and co-requisites
1.Know:
1) the main precedent facts (events, texts, artifacts, personalities) related to important historical events, geographical location, culture, customs and traditions of the Turkish people;
be able to:
2) analyze relevant (discrete) cultural and linguistic aspects that define the Turkish language speakers; use the acquired knowledge in practice.
2.Possess elementary skills:
1) linguistic and country analysis of realities representing the linguistic and cultural achievements of the Turkish people;
2) cognitive and professional activities;
3) processing large text blocks;
4) rational culture of thinking, generalization of new information;
5) mastery of the culture of thinking, knowledge of its general laws, ethical assessments and tastes, norms of verbal and non-verbal behavior, comprehensive development of students' linguistic and country studies competence.
Course content
The discipline "Linguistic and Country Studies of Turkey" introduces students to the linguistic realities of country studies, which are associated with the most important historical events, cultural, historical and social associations. Particular attention is paid to the in-depth study of linguistic realities related to geographical concepts, peculiarities of national culture, social and political life, traditions and customs of native speakers.
The academic discipline "Linguistic and Country Studies of Turkey" is the professional basis for the comprehensive training of the field of knowledge 03 "Humanities" of the direction of study 035.068 "Philology (Oriental Languages and Literatures (translation inclusive), first - Turkish". Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The course ends with a midterm in the first semester and an exam in the second semester.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade.
