PLO 14. Know the patterns of formation and development of ancient world literature. PLO 15. Analyze and interpret works of fiction of the countries of the East, determine their specificity and place in the literary process. PLO 9.10. Apply knowledge of the history, ethnography, literature of the Turkic world.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: 1) successful mastery of professional disciplines during previous courses; 2) basic literary terminology; 3) knowledge of the main historical stages of the development of the Turkish and Crimean Tatar people and their culture; 4) basic reading, writing and listening comprehension skills; 5) applying the acquired knowledge in practice; 6) mastery of basic skills of cognitive and professional activity; culture of thinking, its general laws.
Course content
The discipline is an elective component of the block "Turkic Studies and Translation" and is theoretical and practical in nature, promotes the formation of basic knowledge of the history of the origin of Turkic literature, its development and current state, genre and stylistic analysis of the text. At the same time, special attention is paid to the in-depth study of biographies of prominent writers of the period, genre and motivology of their works for special professional purposes in the future professional activity of a philologist. The program of the discipline consists of 2 content modules. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The course ends with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 30% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 70% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral answers, additions, participation in seminar discussions: 25 - 45 points. 2. Writing an article (up to 5 pages), presentation of the report (10 minutes): 6 - 8 points. 3. Writing a module test: 12 - 16 points. 4. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
