Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) master the basic theoretical and practical principles of the disciplines General and Specialized Linguistics and the general theoretical course of the Turkish language;
2) know the language laws of phonetics, morphology and syntax.
Course content
The discipline "Fundamentals of Scientific Research in Turkic Linguistics" is one of the components of comprehensive training in the field of 035 - Philology, specialty "Philology (Oriental Languages and Literatures (translation inclusive), FIRST - TURKISH".
The course focuses on the problems of researching the linguistic composition of Turkic languages, as well as general patterns and trends in their development. When analyzing specific linguistic phenomena and processes, Turkology relies on the laws of general linguistics and constantly interacts with such linguistic disciplines as linguistic typology, comparative linguistics, linguistic geography, dialectology, etc. This discipline is a logical continuation of the specialized subjects that are part of the cycle of training for students of Turkic studies in the Bachelor's degree program.
The course is taught in the form of lectures and seminars in Ukrainian and Turkish. The course is taught in the first semester of the third year and ends with a test at the end of the course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
1. Oral answer: 18 - 30 points.
2. Control work: 12 - 20 points.
3. Report, presentation: 18 - 30 points.
4. Final control work: 12 - 20 points.
