Course content
The discipline "Introduction to Turkic Philology" is a segment of the Comprehensive Discipline "General and Specialized Linguistics" and is taught in the second semester of the bachelor's degree in accordance with the curriculum of the program "Turkish Language and Literature and Translation, English". The discipline is an integral part of the formation of the professional competence of future specialists in the field of Turkish philology. This course is based on the basic knowledge of general linguistics and the history of Turkey, and its goal is to deepen knowledge of the development of philological trends in the Turkic world and the history of the formation of scientific schools that explicate the problems of Turkic linguistics. The course is taught in the form of lectures and practical classes in Ukrainian and Turkish (partially). The course is taught for one semester and ends with a test.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills); (communication); (autonomy and responsibility), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Control work: 9 - 15 points. 2. Presentation: 12 - 20 points. 3. Performing an individual task to describe the language (optional): 12 - 20 points. 4. Analysis of source literature on the theory of comparative linguistics: 9 - 15 points. 5. Final control work: 12 - 20 points.
