Learning outcomes
PLO.8 To know and understand the language system, general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Crimean Tatar language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 9. Characterize dialectal and social varieties of the Crimean Tatar language, describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practice.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the main historical stages of the development of the Crimean Tatars. 2. Be able to analyze the ideas and actions of the most famous ideologues and political figures in the history of the Crimean Tatar people. 3. Possess in-depth skills of working with educational literature.
Course content
Summary of the subject: characterization of the peoples who lived in Crimea until the XIII century and influenced the ethnogenesis of the Crimean Tatars. Study of the history of the Crimean Khanate from its foundation to the first Russian annexation of Crimea. Coverage of the situation of the Crimean Tatars under the yoke of the Russian Empire and the circumstances of the migration waves of Crimean Tatars to the Ottoman Empire. Determining the reasons for the deportation of Crimean Tatars by the Bolshevik regime and the circumstances of the Crimean Tatars' struggle to return to their homeland. Research the history of the Crimean Tatar people after 1991 and up to the present, emphasizing the second annexation of Crimea by Russia and a new wave of repression against Crimean Tatars.
