Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. Organize the process of learning and self-education. PLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, society. PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (according to the chosen field of study). literary process (according to the chosen specialization).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the course: "Ancient Literature". 2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations: literary criticism, ancient literature, school curriculum in foreign literature. 3. Possession of basic tools for analyzing a literary text. 4. Ability to: carry out basic literary analysis of a literary text, distinguish between literary epochs, trends, styles and phenomena.
Course content
Academic discipline "Trends in the development of the world literary process" is a semester The discipline is designed for 2 ECTS credits, within the discipline, attention is focused on trends of the world literary process from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the XXI century, in particular, the course texts from the history of foreign literature of different epochs that are related to the history of Orientalism, themes and issues.

Answering seminar questions, writing creative essays, completing module tests.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of semester work: 1. Answer at the seminar: 14 - 28 points. 2. Performing a creative essay: 4 - 8 points. 3. Performing a module control test № 1: 2 - 4 points. 4. Final module control test № 2: 8 - 16 points. 5. Maintaining a dictionary of literary terms: 2 - 4 points. 6. Written detailed answer to the questions of the examination paper: 30 - 40 points.
