PLO7. Analyse, compare and classify different trends and schools of thought in Turkish linguistics and Turkic literature. PLO8. Evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements of philological science. PLO17. To plan, organise, carry out and present scientific theoretical and applied research in the field of Turkish philology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the history of linguistic thought in Turkey; ability to perceive the text of a dictionary and extract the necessary information about a word from it; ability to compare different dictionaries; ability to express and justify one's position on controversial positions or concepts.
Course content
The proposed discipline is aimed at a comprehensive and thorough review of lexicographic teaching in Turkey, analyzing existing research and unfilled gaps on this issue, acquiring skills and competencies in writing dictionary articles, working out the theoretical foundations for creating dictionaries of various types, analyzing existing dictionaries of the Turkish language, identifying current problems of lexicography in general and predicting their possible solutions. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The course ends in the third semester with a test.

Lectures, practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The grade is based on the student's performance throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who score a minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "pass" grade. Students who do not score the minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "fail" grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Answer at a practical lesson: 12 - 20 points. 2. Supplements, participation in the discussion, blitz survey: 20 - 32 points. 3. Control work with open answers: 12 - 20 points. 4. Research work / creative task: 4 - 8 points. 5. Final control work: 12 - 20 points. 6. Test: 60 - 10 points.
