Learning outcomes
PLO2. Confidently speak the state and foreign languages for the implementation of written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in the state and foreign languages. PLO6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech techniques to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organize successful communication. PLO10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres into the Crimean Tatar language. PLO11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PLO14. Create, analyze and edit texts of different styles and genres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Knowledge of the main provisions, categories, scientific apparatus of the general theory of translation, ways to achieve adequate translation and basic models of translation activity translation activity; 2) successful mastery of professional disciplines during the first year of study; 3) knowledge of phonetic laws, grammatical structures and syntax rules of the Crimean Tatar language; 4) possession of elementary writing skills and understanding of speech by ear.
Course content
The course is aimed at familiarizing students with the main provisions of modern translation studies, providing them with a theoretical and practical basis for developing the translation skills necessary for their future activities.The course is aimed at developing conscious translation activity based on understanding the regularities of the translation process as an act of interlingual communication, its limits, the ability to identify translation problems, develop strategies and tactics for solving them in specific conditions. The aim of this course is to provide students with the professional competence to carry out translation activities in the field of professional communication.

Presentations, creative and research tasks, oral presentations.
Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment in the form of an exam: - maximum number of points at the exam - 40 points; - the minimum number of points added to the semester points is 24 points (60% of the of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam); - are evaluated by PH 1.1-4; - the written exam consists of two tasks. Assessment of semester work: 1) Translation of a text from Crimean Tatar into Ukrainian with explanations of the translation transformations used; 2) translation of the text from Ukrainian into Crimean Tatar with explanations of the translation transformations used. - students who score less than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points are not allowed to take the exam.
